At her mother’s prompting (nagging) about grandchildren, Sive wonders if it really is time to settle down. She’s just finishing college so she should be thinking about her future. But is she ready to settle down? Is she ready for kids? And more importantly, which of the three men she’s been seeing does she want to spend the rest of her life with?

Sive has a choice to make, and only 24 hours in which to make it.

Excerpt
Choices.

We all make them. From the moment we wake up, it's: “do I get out of bed now or hit the snooze button . . . again?” “shall I wear this outfit to work or that one?” “tea and toast or grab something on the way?”

It's all mundane bullshit. They’re all choices we make on the fly without even realizing we're making them.

Think about it. What choices do you make when you’re not thinking about them? Like going home from work. You get on the train, find a seat and wait for your stop. But when you get there, you wonder how the hell you got there because you don’t remember making the journey.

What I’m trying to say is that we often go on auto-pilot and just do what needs doing without any real thought, because there are usually more pressing things to think about—the important things. Or seemingly so. Like, what movie to see, what restaurant to eat in, where to go on holidays . . . and for some girls, this pair of sensible shoes on sale or another pair not on sale but immensely sexier?

For me, today, my choices aren't so mundane, and they’ll require a lot of conscious thought. I have an important decision to make. One that could change my life forever, pardon the cliché.

They—whoever 'they' are—say there is someone for everyone, that we all have a 'type' of person we're attracted to. I'm still figuring it all out . . . exploring to see what is my type . . . that someone just for me. And it doesn’t help that my mum’s voice is in the back of my head, asking . . . i.e. nagging (yes, I just said i.e.) . . . when I’m going to settle down and give her grandkids.

First, let me say this: I'm not a slut. I'm not loose, I don't carelessly sleep around, and I don't do one-night stands. I just love men and all of their vast differences.

What can I say about my boys that every other woman out there doesn’t already know about men? Charmers, every one of them. But they all give me something I need.

Tonight I need to decide what, or who, I need the most—Fitzy, Moss, or Sully.

Top Reviews
This is a woman who understands that she has power and control over her own life. I found that so refreshing in a genre known for it's incredibly weak heroines. And that's what I keep coming back to: I loved her voice . . . enjoyed listening to the way Sive thinks and the way she handles herself and events in her life. ~ Jonathan, Amazon

Fantastic fun read from a top-notch writer!
Once I started reading One Night in Dublin by witty author Kemberlee Shortland, I couldn't put it down. Shortland's humor comes through in these quirky characters, realistic local, and dialogue. What amazing writing from Kemberlee Shortland. I highly recommend One Night in Dublin to all my friends. ~ Kathleen P. Rowland, Amazon

Erotica with Heart
A woman has a choice to make - between the men in her life. Along the way, there are some comic moments as well as some steamy encounters, (as you would expect from this series). Interestingly, there is a lovely feel for Dublin and the author has clearly done her research. I enjoyed the reference to some of the authors characters from earlier books. A erotically-charges, entertaining read. ~ Noreen, Amazon

A Great Short Read
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I was initially drawn to it because being of Irish stock I wanted to relive some of the memories of my youth, and it didn’t disappoint. The dialogue was authentic, with wonderful descriptions of the sights and sounds of Dublin. This story is more of an emotional tale than I expected. Yes there is sex, but it is Sive’s feelings that drive the story. ~ Margaret Marlow, Amazon

Sexy!!
Short, sexy, funny and sweet. Those are the first words that came to my mind when I think in this book. I enjoyed the humor, the author gave us really witty dialogues and a unique point of view on a one night stand. I loved it. Highly recommended!! ~ Julia, Amazon

A sizzling tale of Sive and her men!
This definitely spicy novella gives a whirlwind tour of three very different relationships being juggled by a woman who finally reaches an epiphany and realizes that she needs to demand more in her life. There are nice sketches of Dublin as the festivities marking an iconic Irish celebration heat up even as one cringes at the unabashedly lustful yet uncaring men in Sive’s life who don’t appreciate the combination of brains and passion that she has to offer. The tour of the city is fascinating and enlightening and the connection that the heroine makes with a foreigner is both entertaining and ironic although a little disconcerting in its suddenness. I love the combination of snark and passion that characterize Sive and would enjoy reading more of her adventures as she continues to mature and demand more for herself, although, given the sizzling encounters she engages in, a glass of ice will be a required accompaniment to additional tales! ~ Elf2060, Amazon

Brings out the Irish in me...
First off, I have to say…this definitely brought out the Irish in me. One Night in Dublin was a short, light, fun read that cracked me up. I don’t usually enjoy reading about one night stands (they tend to turn into clichés or into ridiculous, implausible results), so I was a bit wary when picking OND up. I admit, the fact that it was set in Ireland helped convince me, though I wasn’t expecting the amount of Irish culture and…character the author included. I went in thinking the author would just use Ireland as a passport stamp, yet she took the time to really add that aspect into her story, which definitely made me enjoy it more. I also liked how the portrayal of Sive’s one night stand didn’t turn into a total cliché. However, it was the humor and witty dialogues that really sold it for me. I could hear the characters talking in my head, it was so realistic and natural, and I absolutely loved it. And to top all this off, the plot twists alone…well, I won’t spoil them here. All I have to say is, give this a read. It’s a fun read, and very much worth the time and money. ~ Emily, Amazon

One Night in Dublin is a fun, sexy
This is my fist book by Kemberlee and won’t be my last. One Night in Dublin is a fun, sexy, quick read that you won’t want to put down once you start. It’s full of well-developed characters, easy to follow and oh so sexy. There are several twists and turns that lead to a sexy, yet happy at least for now ending. I was blown away by the clear concise storytelling and the hot but not pornish sex scenes. I found the setting of Ireland so charming and the bits of history intriguing. I loved everything about this story form beginning to end. I will mention though the first couple pages I wondered if I picked up part of a series but after reading on it didn’t matter since the story was so easy to follow. I even read the snippets at the back and saw some names mentioned in earlier stories from this one that I plan to go pick up. Kemberlee Shortland has a new fan. If you like M/F romance, Romantica, stories set in other countries, and have I mentioned sexy? ~ Cathy, Amazon

Surprising Emotional Depth in a Scorching Story That Ended Too Soon
This was a quick read that had surprising depth as it was a journey of self-discovery for Sive. It was a story of empowerment and of not settling. Sive was a likable woman put through the wringer but who came out stronger because of it. Adrian was truly romantic in all his words and deeds and I'm still dreaming of his Adonis looks and kind heart. Their one night together was scorching after an initial meeting that crackled with sexual tension. Along with the strong personal connections was a loving tribute to Dublin itself through the vividly depicted scenery and colorful denizens that made you feel like you were there. All in all it was a story that fully immersed me in the action from the very first page to the last and its rocky and romantic journey to its satisfying conclusion well worth it. ~ J. Faltys, Amazon

What a great novella!
What I love about this novella is that, to me, it’s not focused on love, but focused on character development or change. The story is told through Sive’s point of view, so you get to see some growth in Sive as she starts to realize and notice things in her life that she was blind to before. You feel for her as she struggles to come to terms that her life isn’t all that cracked up to be, and hope that she can find someone who will be the perfect guy for her. Towards the end, you get to see her change from a desperate person to a slightly stronger and confident woman. Some of that confidence can be thanks to the man she finally ends up with, who I rooted for from the first time I met him. He’s anyone’s perfect guy, and I know that any woman who reads this will root for him too. One Night In Dublin is sexy, emotional, and downright enjoyable. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a fun read, light erotica, romance, and being swept away to a country that is unfamiliar, because this is my first book that took place in Ireland, and I can tell you that I felt like I was right there. I give this book 5 fangs! I’m glad that it’s a part of a series because now I have something to look forward to. ~ Leslie Williams, Amazon

If you’re looking for a fun, light, and sexy read, look no further than One Night in Dublin. Once I got started, I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting. Wow! I was swept away to Ireland where I was drawn into the protagonist’s life changing choices she would make during one of the busiest times of Dublin’s year—St. Patrick’s Day. And boy does it bring a surprise. Enjoy. I know I did. ~ Amanda Berbatiotis, Goodreads and Amazon
