DIANNE NOBLE
Dianne spent her childhood in Singapore and Cyprus, then raised her children in the Arabian Gulf and hasn't stopped travelling since. Her impressions of China, Guatemala, Russia and Israel will perhaps be rich pickings for future novels, but for now India remains her favourite and she keeps going back. The atmospheric settings of her novels reflect her experiences.

Still on the bucket list are Tibet, Bhutan and Burma.
